Using a video clip for online advertising is at the very cutting edge of market promotion these days. It’s a real misjudgment that small businesses have about using online video clips to promote their products – the general feeling out there seems to be that video ads can’t really be any good unless they are glossy and expensive productions. That’s not how advertising experts see it happening though. Informative, well-intentioned low-budget videos routinely do better than glossy ads that are made for a lot of money. Videos online aren’t like TV ads – people accept low-budget stuff if it serves a specific purpose. TV ads need to be glossy because no one’s actually in front of a TV to see an ad. While it doesn’t have to be glossy, an online video clip does need to have viewers at hello. Since videos take more time to judge than other kinds of information, people are reluctant to click on any video unless it seems promising. The very first frame of any video clip needs to look like it promises real information. Such videos are twice as effective getting viewer attention as the videos that don’t seem to have much going on in the first frame. And videos on the Internet don’t even have to be videos to be informative and in demand. To just have a series of photos folding one into the other with great commentary and background music can do.

Everyone needs to be clear that any business website, to be successful, needs a video clip; make that a video clip each day. When a business has a customer’s favor, they visit the website all the time. They need to see fresh video content on there every day, all the time. It’s even more important than having fresh text content. Put your video out there and trust it to do well if you’ve put your best into it. Video is the next greatest thing in search engine optimization. Keep these mistakes in mind that people make using the video clip as an advertising vehicle, and you should be golden.
